I don't think Twitter will allow them to directly redirect the old twitter handle to the new twitter handle (don't know why: his old tweets will auto-redirect). I mean is there even any guarantee that it will ever be fixed? If, for instance, more people are googling "Andrew Yang Twitter" than "Andrew Yang" when they search for his Twitter page for the first time, then his old page could be getting slightly more "views" than his new one for the foreseeable future. This seems like it could take a super long time. Unfortunately, they just have to wait until the official new twitter has more views going to it than the old twitter, as the results are indexed using Google's algorithm that primarily looks at page views to determine the order. I can't explain why I or other people do this, but the fact many do is extremely problematic given this situation. I know I did back when I first learned about Yang. Yes, but unfortunately I think a lot of people google "Andrew Yang Twitter" instead of "Andrew Yang". They have put his new twitter handle into his Google profile, so the official Google result is correct. ![]() The campaign has done everything they can to fix this, including contacting Google.
